Stefan Anderson directs Neon Black Neon in their upcoming music video for the track "Mesh Stallion".
The video concept runs with the lyrical content of the song and includes various scenes of an underground fashion show gone bad. The models' movements are seemingly robotic. At closer look, we see bolts and seams in their skin as though they were built or assembled in a factory.
In a back room, a breathtakingly gorgeous young woman is sitting at a large computer screen with controls, moving the models using levers and pushing buttons. She looks lost, sad, and near tears. She is no robot. In slow motion, she drops her head into her arms and begins to cry. Unintentionally, her elbow hits a big red button. The screen begins to flicker and the models on the runway all begin to malfunction and spark. They look around at each other and the audience filled with old wealthy men who begin booing, making obscene gestures at the models, middle fingers, thumbs down, yelling in disapproval at the models stopping on the runway. A tear rolls down from one model's face, and the sadness quickly turns to anger as the chorus begins. One model near the back pulls a curtain from the wall, drapes it over the face of one of the angry audience members, and with her foot slowly pushes the man backward. From here the video plays out with the models just completely destroying the place until all that's left is a chaotic, smoke filled room with lights flickering and sparks falling from the ceilings.
The model in the control room walks out, unaware of what's happened and is visibly trying to regain her composure. When she enters the room and discovers the destruction that has taken place, she falls to her knees, overjoyed and laughing hysterically. In the end, she walks out into the hallway, still laughing to herself. Not far behind her, the group of models follows in a straight line, all moving in perfect unison with their leader. They are no longer robotic, but their movements are exactly the same. She hears the footsteps behind her and looks back. When she turns her head, all the models turn as well. She looks back to the camera with a troubled look... "uh oh" - Title screen reads "To be continued."
